about us
The Little Felton Book Festival started as a hairbrained idea dreamed up by a group of local mums over a Friday morning latte. The goal? To raise funds for the local village school’s outdoor reading area. What began as a casual conversation among friends quickly became a reality – with the very first festival taking place just four weeks later at Gallery45, a local arts space. The response was overwhelming, and it was clear that the community had been waiting for a chance to celebrate books and creativity together.
OUR Mission
Our mission is simple: to celebrate the art of storytelling, to promote literacy, and to provide a space for both established and emerging writers to share their work. We aim to curate a diverse and exciting program of events that include author talks, panel discussions, book signings, writing workshops, and much more.
This year, The Little Felton Book Festival has grown into a community event that continues to bring people together over a shared love of literature. Whether you’re a lifelong book lover, a curious newcomer, or an aspiring author, our festival offers something for everyone.
Our Team
The Little Felton Book Festival is organized by a passionate team of book lovers, creatives, and community members who are dedicated to bringing people together through the magic of literature. From our volunteers to our festival directors, everyone involved shares a common love for books and a desire to make the festival an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
We are incredibly grateful for the support of our sponsors, volunteers, and the local community, without whom the festival would not be possible.

“Many thanks for making me feel welcome and at ease (I was nervous since I hadn’t read in front of real people for such a long time). I shouldn’t have worried because the audience was one of the kindest and most receptive I’ve ever read to.”
