Exciting news! When we first had the crazy idea to put on a book festival, poetry wasn’t part of the plan. That all changed the moment we came across the brilliant Harry Gallagher. After hearing his work, we knew poetry simply had to be included – if only for our own benefit! When we first dreamed up The Little Felton Book Festival, it was about more than celebrating books – it was about building something lasting for our community. Today we celebrate what would have been Agatha Christie’s 135th birthday – a milestone for the Queen of Crime, whose work continues to captivate readers across the globe. With more than 2 billion books sold in over 100 languages, Christie remains the most-translated and widely read novelist in history.⁠ Did you know the Vikings came to Felton!
